Perfectly positioned in the midst of the rainforest, Cockatoo Hill Retreat is a gentle drive meandering past small waterfalls through the rainforest from the Daintree Ferry crossing. The ferry is unique to the area and operates constantly throughout the day and into the evening.
Cockatoo Hill Retreat is a hidden gem in the Daintree. The property comprises of four thatch roof Tree Houses suitable for couples accommodation with views to the ocean. A traditional Balinese style pavilion features near the freshwater swimming pool, a perfect place to soak in the view and enjoy the pool bar on a warm, tropical evening.

Included in each Tree House is a spacious, welcoming bedroom (complete with ensuite) opening onto a large balcony to capture the sea breezes. The bedroom features soft, underfloor lighting and a beautiful hand-crafted timber king-size bed enveloped in a swirl of netting. Your mini bar also offers coffee and tea facilities

Location
Located on a rainforest ridge with views extending from Hutchison Hill to Cape Tribulation. This is where the Rainforest meets the Reef and two World Heritage listed areas combine as one. To the east is the Coral Sea & Great Barrier Reef and in the west the spectacular Thornton Peak. This property is part of the Daintree. You might expect Dr. Livingstone to reside here or Noel Coward to extract inspiration from the surrounds.
